Degas project

Okay, so, hands down, Degas is my favourite painter. I love his work. Especially his dancers. This painting I modernized has always been one of my favourites. This was a graphic design project. We had to recreate a famous painting using photography. I used four girls in my Dance II class (at the school). What was great, was my dance teacher had four dresses that were specially made for a ballet a couple semesters ago that was inspired by Degas, and she said I can use them. I took the picture in the dance room with the lights off and only brought out the colour in the point shoes and in the ribbon. I'm very, very proud of this.
